Psyche Pilfer

In Psyche Pilfer the player takes on the role of a mutant who has been captured and placed into a facility along with other mutants for the purposes of testing. The game is set in a dystopian future where mutants are treated as lab rats for the government’s scientific experiments. The testing rooms are a cold place with constant surveillance to ensure mutants do not escape. Mutants are first placed in a cozy hub before being transported to their designated testing facility. You, the player are a passivist who can steal other mutants’ powers. Your goal is to use the other mutants’ powers to aid you in escaping the facility before a room has been assigned to you. The game’s mechanics are focused on the player’s ability to steal powers and use them to solve various puzzles to escape the facility. The game’s story explores the theme of the struggle between the mutant protagonist and the inhumane experimentation and testing practices.
